Can I Print Shipping Labels from UPS, USPS, Fed EX, etc.

The Leitz Icon does not have direct support for UPS, Fedex, USPS or DHL shipping labels in the Leitz Icon software program.

The driver installed with the software uses is the generic Windows/Mac driver so you can print from programs that have support for it. However, you need to have the margins set correctly for it to print properly. Most shippers software program's set it up to print on 8 1/2" x 11". The Icon's maximum print width is roughly 3 1/4" x continuous length.

Here is a workaround that allows you to print shipping labels in the Leitz Icon Software program:

  1. Print to PDF from the shipping software.
  2. Open the PDF in imaging software such as Photoshop, crop it, then size it so the width is 3.25 inches, and save it as a high resolution JPG file (300 dpi grayscale).
  3. Place the JPG file as an image into a label in the Leitz Icon software Set the SCALE option to NONE, and print.

NOTE for MAC users:

PDF shipping label file's can be openned in MAC Preview following the same instructions above with good results. Preview does not have the ability to size the file down to 3.25 inches in width so when you import it into the Leitz Icon software program use the "Proportional" option under SCALE.

I think I would be very much to your companies advantage to have support built into your software for UPS, Fedex, USPS or DHL shipping labels. These are probable some of the most used label used on a daily basis in the USA.

Your marketing department should have found out this fact to make your product more salable to the general public as well as business.

Are the plans to support these formats very soon as I wish to purchase some number of your products and get rid of our current method.
